JOB OVERVIEW

The Retail Technology Manager is responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of technology that enhances the consumer experience in a retail store. Additionally, this individual be accountable for evaluating, maintaining, and improving all existing retail technology products from an audio / visual, consumer interaction, and point-of-purchase perspective including POS, digital displays, rewards account interfaces and in-store ecommerce experiences.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all retail consumer experience products
  • Partner with leadership and applicable cross-functional teams to develop and deliver an innovative consumer experience enhancing software and services
  • Partner with each channel to understand their customer needs and influence adoption of new services
  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand and improve product capabilities
  • Define and execute the long-term strategy and vision for device and application management, leveraging new technologies to deliver features to our customers and associates
  • Drive requirement definition, customer experience design, product roadmap and prioritization
  • Analyze customer feedback and usage metrics to identify key pain points and recommend new product ideas
  • Manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make trade-offs while balancing the business needs versus technical constraints and maximizing business benefit / great customer experiences
  • Manage external resources, including vendor negotiations, contract negotiations and vendor selection processes

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Applications
  • Proficient in multi-unit retail infrastructures
  • Proficiency in Fiori preferred
  • Proficiency in SAP preferred
  • Ability to establish and foster effective cross functional relationships
  • Ability to evaluate hardware and software solutions
  • Ability to make decisions independently, or escalate when applicable
  • Ability to manage external resources
  • Ability to travel
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong project management experience: ability to gather requirements and work with business partners to build road maps and prioritize key projects

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering Information Technology
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Informational Technology
