Summary:

The Senior Manager FootJoy Custom Operations will lead Fairhaven Custom Operations. Establish strategic plans, policies & procedures to ensure that custom apparel & glove orders are shipped complete and on schedule. Develop Department Budget and Cost controls ensuring marketplace competitiveness. Ensure FJ Apparel & FJ Gloves are customized using the most efficient and effective state of the art means to meet/exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct all manufacturing operations to ensure they are running at peak efficiency.
    • Research new equipment, computer systems, and work processes.
    • Develop & engineer improved processes where appropriate ensuring best in class customized products.
  • Develop Strategic Plan, policies & procedures for ensuring that custom apparel, glove, and other custom orders are shipped complete and on schedule.
  • Develop Department Budget based on Strategic Plan considering Capacity and Staffing requirements while controlling costs to ensure marketplace competitiveness.
  • Manage expenses based on Budget.
  • Develop Quality standards for customization of FJ custom apparel, FJ & Titleist gloves, and other custom products using customization process knowledge and competitors as benchmarks.
  • Manage staff of department including Production, Graphics and Quality teams to ensure the department is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Develop and execute appropriate training for all staff.
  • Select embroidery subcontractors and manage business relationship.
  • Ensure required manufacturing capabilities, costing and strategic importance based upon requirements and shifts in business climates.
  • Ensure approved embroidery standards are understood and applied consistently between all facilities.
  • Recommend component and process improvements for improved quality and reduced cost.
  • Select embroidery digitizing subcontractors and manage business relationship.
  • Manage raw material inventory.
  • Negotiate and approve pricing from approved subcontractors.
  • Continually evaluate subcontractors and ensure all meet the business needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a technical area. (Textile Management, Textile Engineering, and/or Quality Management a definite plus).
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in quality management in a textile manufacturing operations environment is required.
  • 5 years experience in planning, forecasting, inventory management of finished goods and logistics.
  • Excellent computer skills with exposure to inventory management, procurement and forecasting systems experience.
  • Exposure to international operations and market activities a plus.
  • Moderate travel required domestically and internationally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make presentations.
