Summary: The Senior Manager, Strategic Business Planning & Development will drive and evolve a robust strategic planning process delivering a plan that will drive executional excellence throughout our global Gear business and ensure cross functional alignment. Identify and support potential project opportunities and business development and M&A initiatives assessing viability and developing the proposals and execution plan working across the departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Planning:
    • Responsible for Strategic Business Planning for the Gear leadership team.
    • Implements best practices, tools and strategy to deliver financial and business planning results.
    • Build upon strategic business analysis experience, analyze data and trends to make recommendations to the leadership team to create and execute against goals.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team by sharing relevant data across the various departments to initiate business evaluation and planning on a 3 year, annual, quarterly and monthly basis.
    • Work with Gear leadership to find and take advantage of opportunities for growth and improvement.
    • Evaluate and contribute to the execution of mergers and acquisitions as needed.
    • Drive accuracy of reporting across Revenues, Gross Margin, Units and Average Net Sell Price.
  • Project Management & Development Opportunities:
    • Assesses key business development opportunities that can lead to new paths of servicing the customer and increasing organic sales growth.
    • Contribute and support decision-making on critical priorities through the development of strategic positions utilizing insight developed through informational analysis across key US and global sales.
    • Responsible for implementing creative analysis supporting all levels of the Gear organization.
    • Consistently present these findings to senior management as necessary and recommend strategic actions to ensure performance for all Gear business objectives.
  • Business & Financial Planning, Reporting and Forecast:
    • Creates and enhances key management reports that support the business: i.e. Product Profitability, Channel Planning, Sales Program Analysis, Inventory positions and category/product profitability.
    • Manage the process of creating and presenting key materials to the Gear Leadership Team for monthly, quarterly, and annual Gear business and financial performance reviews.
  • Sales, Business and Project Management:
    • Report on US Sell-In and Sell-Through and Ad Hoc Business and Sales Reporting:
      • Provide and present to the Gear leadership group a periodic report that utilizes Datatech, NGF & SPS Commerce for US sell-through data and coordinate these reports on a global basis with market leadership.
  • WW Market Size Reporting and Analysis:
    • Establish & Maintain Global Gear Market size analysis and opportunities.
    • Lead the tracking of market size with global markets and present summary key findings to Gear Leadership.
    • Work with each region to ensure the accurate and timely submission of data for the semi-annual WW Market Overview analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required with a focus on Finance or Business Strategy or product creation. MBA desired.
  • 7 - 10 years of Business, Financial experience showing an increasing level of responsibility.
  • Focus areas of financial analysis, strategic planning as well as Sales, Product, Logistics, Customer Service, Info & Analytics required.
  • Cross-functional product experience with R&D, Sales, and Operations preferred.
  • Strong Ad-Hoc reporting experience with the knowledge of the logic behind it is required.
  • Advanced skill set in Microsoft Excel, Cognos 10 Report Studio and Workspace Advanced is highly desired.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint.
  • Financial analysis and reporting experience are a must.
  • Strong information and presentation skills that will enable timely, effective, and scalable insights that will influence Strategic Business Decision execution and decision making.
  • Ability to write reports in Cognos required.
  • Knowledge of workflow analysis, flow charting, and info-mapping procedures.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of confidential information such as product launches and costing.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and execute product changes.
  • Advanced skill set in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
