Summary: We’re looking to add bench strength to our team, and we’d love for you to consider us! You’ll be joining a group of seasoned cybersecurity practitioners to help secure and defend our awesome company. Your day to day will be a mix of cyber defense engineering and security operations with access to some of the best tools, technologies, and service providers in the business. You’ll also get the opportunity to participate in the cyber risk management program, helping to measure and drive operational improvements as we continuously evaluate how we are doing and where we can improve. We don’t care where you live or work as long as you are open to travel and get together with us as a team periodically. We’ll invest in you, ensuring that your skills evolve to match the threat landscape, the growth and maturity of the cyber program and wherever you want to go with your career in cybersecurity. Ideally, we’d be looking for 3+ years cybersecurity experience for this senior role, but if you have a solid background in IT that included blended engineering tasks supporting cybersecurity technology - let’s chat about that foundation and how we can build a cyber career out of it!

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and engineer solutions in the Acushnet security stack to protect and detect against attacks and ensure a layered, defense in depth approach.
  • Assist with monitoring the vulnerability posture of internal and external assets and applications partnering with IT in ensuring that the program is managed within agreed SLAs.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for the response to security events and alerts as well as lead and participate in incident response activities.
  • Lead and assist in the development and maturity of security programs supporting the best practices, framework-informed approach of the Acushnet IT Security strategy.
  • Conduct and oversee regular technical risk assessments/audits of systems and infrastructure for both existing and new Acushnet business initiatives.
  • Evaluate new and existing security technologies, designs, architectures, and products to determine appropriateness for supporting business and strategic plans, examining compatibility, functionality, integration, cost, and overall benefits.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience with a mix of exposure to network, server, desktop security products, web application protections, Firewall Management and Configuration Expertise; VPN technologies, Intrusion Detection and Protection Systems, Security Event Monitoring solutions; Infrastructure and Application Vulnerability Management. You don’t need all of these – we want to understand competency in engineering, supporting, and maintaining solutions.
  • Familiar with the top cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCS) and the security implications of migrating workloads to them.
  • Experience with building and updating Information Security Program, Policy and Processes
  • Service Provider/Vendor Management experience.
  • Knowledge of data protection concepts, regulatory requirements, and compliance issues specific to security and data protection in a global organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of the various Windows operating systems versions, both server and workstation.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, technical knowledge, and practical application of information security at a business aware and technical level.
  • Ability to present technical security information to a wide variety of internal and external audiences.
