Summary:

The DevOps Integration Engineer manages integration software migrations between the development environments for improved efficiency and availability of the software development process. Partners closely with developers on source control methodology and code promotions, ensuring the effective integration of the SDLC. Plays an essential role in creating the appropriate runtime environments and ensuring the appropriate libraries, configurations, and new project software is in place for development, QA, and production environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that code changes are packaged correctly and contain descriptive instructions to be promoted/demoted to a new target environment. Promote/Demote changed code to different environments (DEV, TEST, STAGE, and PRD).
  • Document and diagram all changes in the environments. Gather evidence (screen shots, etc) for all changes (permissions, promotions, demotions, roll backs, etc) and work with the auditors for sufficiency and approvals. Create and share package promotions and intake forms for consistency. Work on Emergency promotions/demotion/roll back processes to be efficient and complete.
  • Manage path permission change requests directly by submitting a help desk change requests with follow up to ensure it was done correctly. Manage requests from Service Now for approval signature of all proposed changes.
  • Proactively watch for issues in the Server logs, and report to developers when issues arise for both production and QA.
  • Receive security alert emails from Software AG and propose required changes to environment and scheduling. Work closely with security team to keep our environments accurate and up to date.
  • Propose new environments for special purpose validation of projects at scale

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required.
  • Specialize in the higher-level Integration ecosystem connecting multiple business platforms.
  • In depth Experience with the CI/CD pipelines both on prem and in the cloud.
  • Excellent documentation with diagrams and flows for auditing.
  • Experience with SOC-2 compliance.
  • Familiar with WebMethods Suite or other Integration suites.
